*I haven’t had a chance to update the screenshots for this tutorial yet. The process is the same, it just looks slightly different. Give it a try – if you get stuck get in touch and I’ll help out!*
To add your site to the We Heart Vintage Directory first click on the ‘Add Your Site‘ link.
If you already have a username and password you can login and move onto Step 3. If you have already submitted a site to the directory and don’t know your login details click on the ‘Lost your password’ link where you can enter either your username or email address to have a new password sent to you.
If you are a new user click on the ‘Not yet registered’ link and fill in your details. Enter a username and email and we will email you a password. Please make sure the email ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ is added to your safe senders list so that the email doesn’t end up in your spam folder.
If, once you have logged in you find yourself here (below) just click on the ‘We Heart Vintage Directory’ link in the top left to get back to the site and continue adding your site.
Once you are logged in and have clicked on ‘Add Your Site’ you will see this screen:
Select which category or categories you would like to list your site under. Hold down the ctrl key to select multiple categories.
Please note: If you are going to choose a ‘Featured Listing‘ the fee is applicable for each category you would like to be featured in. If you would like to be listed in 10 categories but only featured in 1 then please submit 2 separate listings. One for your Featured Listing and one for the free listings.
Select whether you would like a Featured Listing (which costs $15 per category each year) or a standard listing. You can find out more information about the difference between the 2 here.
The $15 fee is applicable to EACH category you are featured in. If you would like to be listed in 10 categories but only featured in 1 then please submit 2 separate listings. One for your Featured Listing and one for the free listings.
Tick the box next to ‘Yes upgrade my listing’ if you want to purchase the upgrade, or simply click continue to submit your free listing.
Now enter the details for your listing. The fields listed in red are required.
Once you have added all the fields click on the ‘continue’ button. If you have selected a free listing then your listing will now be submitted for approval.
If you selected a Featured Listing then you will need to now pay for your upgrade.
Select ‘PayPal’ as your payment method. Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account, you can also pay by card via this link.
Once you have clicked ‘Continue’ click on ‘Pay Now’:
You then have 2 choices:
- If you have a PayPal account you can login to your account here
- If you want to pay via credit or debit card you can do so using the link (see below)
